Preview: The Devil’s work is to pull people away from the true Word of God. Even a slight division from what we know to be the truth, a small compromise, a little change, is enough to displease the Lord and endanger your salvation. It is important that God’s children stand united under the protection of His love regardless of the pulls and temptations that surround us.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:8-18.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 6:11.

Note: Satan’s name was Lucifer before he was cast out. He sinned before Adam and Eve. He exalted himself. A third part of the angels of Heaven chose to follow him. This was the angels’ downfall. Lucifer himself aspired to be God, and the angels followed.
7. What was the stumbling block that caused Eve to fall? Genesis 3:4-6.
Note: Satan did not say she should eat of the fruit, but he said “God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Eve, like Satan, wanted to be exalted, and they both were made lower.

Note: We are not to take sides with sinners, as they are always against those that are fighting a Christian warfare.

Note: Someone told Paul of the contention in the Corinthian Church so that Paul was able to help them.
