Preview: This series of lessons is dedicated as an introduction to Jesus. This is the thirteenth part in a thirteen-part series of lessons on this subject.

Pre- reading: I Corinthians 13:1-11, Ephesians 6:10-24, I Corinthians 3:4-11, I Corinthians 3:21-23.

Scripture Reading: Acts 8:26-35.

Memory Verse: I Corinthians 15:3.

1. Can we see from the foregoing Scriptures that the Bible (Old and New Testament) is about Jesus?
2. Who testified that He was in the Volume of the Book (Scriptures)? Psalm 40:6-8.
3. How do we know that David was quoting the promise of Jesus? Hebrews 10:4-10.
Note: God inspired David to prophecy concerning Jesus. He enlightened Paul to interpret the prophecy for us. What we must understand is that, from Genesis to Revelation, Jesus is the theme of the Book. It presents His life, death, resurrection, and coming Kingdom; all subject to the will of God the Father in order to redeem fallen man.
4. How did Jesus explain this to those who thought they knew God but rejected Jesus? John 8:17-30, John 8:37-40.
Note: The “Revised Version” of verse 39 says “ye search the Scriptures”. These were Bible students, yet they missed the entire message of the Volume.
5. Who were the people giving more honor to rather than unto God? John 5:41-47.
Note: They loved to refer to their faith and honor for Moses and the Law but failed to realize that this also was about Jesus. Mankind today finds it easier to follow man than to trust and obey God. That is why we see so many different denominations.
6. How important is all Scripture and by whom was it given? II Timothy 3:16-17.
7. What must we have in order to understand prophecy? II Peter 1:16-21, I Peter 1:7-12.
Note: Although Peter was an eyewitness to the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, he did not comprehend what he had seen until the Holy Spirit enlightened him. We also must know the Word and have the Spirit of Truth.
8. Why could the people and prophets who saw Jesus not recognize who He was? II Peter 2:1-2.
9. How are we warned of this today? II Peter 3:1-5.
10. What must we do in order to stand firm in the truth? II Peter 3:13-18.
